I didn’t, they have a good platonic partnership, and he’s got a wife, I don’t think she was ever an option for him. If I were to ship her with anyone it’d be Yuzuriha, they have great chemistry and are fun together.

It is obvious from the start that the ship you are talking about will not sail. But tbh their relationship from the beggining was really confusing for me. After finishing the whole manga, I still couldnt really define their relationship. They really cant be defined as friends nor lovers, its hard to grasp their relationship and maybe their bond is more than just that of lovers?

Maybe give him a sidekick like Yuzuriha to follow him around for some comedic romcom effect.
Seriously I get the idea of Gabi/Saigiri but this story just doesn’t seem to support it. She’s a lot like him as the grim killer. He’s still too short for her but if the show hadn’t solidified Yui into his focus I’d say they could have had a chance. It’ll be teased but I don’t think it’s happening.

Gabi and Sagiri are a good match, I think his wife is already gone or something, either way she seems to be more of a deity for him while Saigiri is already there with him (and he already dominated her physically and she had to beg for her life).

Gabimaru viewed Sagiri as one of his few close comrade and that is more than enough. No need to make it more weird. Jigokuraku is at it's best when it comes to the unique relationship between the prisoners and executioners. Making it harem is stupid because you're just degrading Sagiri's character at that point.
