Funeral Services were held Monday, (Oct. 12) at 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. Visitation was held Sunday (Oct. 11), from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Allison. Burial took place in the Allison Cemetery in Allison.

Billy Lee Miller, 73, of Allison, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison. He was born on May 1, 1947, to William and Elaine (Busse) Miller in Hampton, Iowa.

Donald Kent Jenison

Donald Kent Jenison, age 68, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the son of Donald Oscar and Veda Alice (Curtis) Jenison on April 28, 1952, in Charles City, Iowa. He was confirmed and baptized at Community United Methodist Church in Clarksville. Kent graduated from Clarksville High School in 1970.

Norma Jean Nichols

Norma Jean Nichols, 92, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, IA. Cremation has taken place. Because of COVID19, Memorial Services for both Don & Norma Nichols are tentatively being planned for August of 2021 which is the month of their 75th wedding anniversary in Clarksville. Inurnment will take place at Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville.

Michael G. Moore

Michael G. Moore, 63, of Albert Lea, MN, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 19, 2020, after a courageous battle with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy).

Michael “Mike” Gerard Moore, son of William J. and Mary C. (Chambers) Moore, was born August 3, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa. He moved to Mason City, IA as a young child and graduated from Mason City High School in 1975. He went on to graduate from NIACC in 1977 and Mankato State University in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Ronald “Ron” Davis

Ronald “Ron” Davis, 92, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2020. A private family service will be held at McLaren’s Funeral home with a burial following at Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville, IA.
Ron was born to Donald and Leah Davis on November 4, 1927 and grew up on a family farm outside of Clarksville. He joined the Navy after high school. While in basic training, he met Aggie, the love of his life. Their 74th wedding anniversary was on August 31.

Nina Crystal Mulder

Nina Crystal Mulder, age 100, of Waverly, Iowa, was born the daughter of Emanuel E. and Hannah M. (Polk) Hanawalt on December 25, 1919, in rural Butler County. She received her education at the Dumont Consolidated School and graduated with the class of 1937. Nina continued her education at State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where she received her Teacher’s Certificate. She taught for six years in rural Butler County schools.

Dorothy Anne Luebbers, age 76, of Allison, Iowa, was born the daughter of George Leo and Eva Louise (Kothe) Amfahr on August 23, 1944, in Independence, Iowa. She received her education from St. John Catholic High School in Independence and graduated in 1962.

Marcille Green, 83, of Charles City, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

A public visitation for Marcille Green will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City on Friday, September 11, 2020. Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and to please wear a face mask; thank you for your understanding.

Elsena Kramer, age 99, of Clarksville, IA, was born the daughter of Steffen and Frouke (Frances VanDerLaan) Timmer on June 10, 1921, near Parkersburg, IA. Her family later moved to the Allison area where she attended country school.
