How do I get the best render from V-Ray SketchUp? ›

If you can't get the desired quality, try decreasing the Noise Threshold parameter a bit. In case you use a Render Time (min) limit, increase the time limit value to improve the quality. In V-Ray for Sketchup, Rhino and Revit, render quality can be improved by dragging the Quality slider to a higher-quality preset.

Vray is included in the Studio license. If you have a Pro license, it's not included. I'm not privy with the commercial side of Sketchup, but if you contact them directly they will help you eventually upgrade to studio, if Vray is what you want.

You can use SketchUp Free which is web-based and runs in your browser. They no longer offer a free desktop version, though.

For ease of use, Twinmotion is a game engine based realtime renderer somewhat similar to Enscape, and it is free for personal use. Kerkythea is a free versatile standalone rendering application with an export plugin for SketchUp.

There is no rendering application included with SketchUp Pro. As you were told in one of your previous threads, Vray is included with SketchUp Studio. If you buy the Pro subscription you can choose whatever renderer you want to use.

The Free Trial version includes all the features and rendering capabilities of the commercial license but is restricted in time.

If you value meticulous control, supreme rendering quality, and are willing to invest time and effort, V-Ray is the classic choice. On the other hand, if you require speed, ease of use, and real-time interactivity for design presentations, Enscape is a fantastic option.

How do I know if V-Ray is installed in SketchUp? ›

Windows: When using SketchUp for Windows, the V-Ray Toolbars can be found under SketchUp > View > Toolbars.

You can check out the render time using the Stamp option in the V-Ray Frame Buffer, and get more detail in the V-Ray Frame Buffer's Stats > Timing rollout.

Tip: Installing and managing extensions is easiest if you access the Extension Warehouse from SketchUp by selecting Extensions > Extension Warehouse. The extension is a free extension. Many extensions on the Extension Warehouse are free for you to download and use.
