Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Jorgens died July 12 of cancer. He graduated from University High School in 1965 and earned a bachelor's degree in me mechanical and metallurgical engineering from the University of Washington in 1969. He was a member of the varsity crew team at the college.
In 1970 he married Vicki Messmer. Mr. Jorgens was the C.E.O. of Spur Industries a metal bonding company, and the owner and founder of Alutek, a metal processing company, both in the Spokane Valley. He was a charter member of the Valley Fourth Memorial Church and served as church elder, Sunday school teacher, treasurer and in other church related roles over the Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Laurie; a son, Scott; his father, Stan Jorgens of Spokane; and three brothers, Duane and Winton Jorgens of Spokane, and Terry Jorgens of Valdez.

Funeral Mass. Burial will be held in Waterloo, Iowa, at a later date. Mr. Flaherty, who was born in Waterloo, died Saturday. He graduated from East High School in Waterloo and in 1937 moved to Spokane.
Mr. Flaherty joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served during World War II. While serving as the co-pilot of a B-24, he was shot down and captured as a prisoner of war for more than 10 months in Germany. After the war he returned to Spokane, and worked as a carpenter with South Side Builders and Selkirk Construction until his retirement in 1980. Survivors include two brothers, William Flaherty of California and Edward Flaherty of Maryland; and a sister, Joan Flaherty of Spokane.
Memorial contributions may be made to Horizon Hospice or to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Spokane. Lisbeth Smith Spokane Memorial service for Lisbeth Caroline Marie Smith, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at North Hill Christian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A 37-year Spokane-area resident, Mrs.
Smith died July 14. She was born in McKeesport, Pa. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, and a member of Order of Eastern Star White Shine No. 6 of Jerusalem, North Hill Christian Church, NCT Travel Club and served as past matron of the Audubon Chapter of the Women's Christian Association.
Her husband, Willis Smith, died in 1993. Survivors include a son, Willis Smith of Spokane; a brother, Robert Anderson of Hartford, a sister, Esther Crowley of California; two granddaughters and seven greatgrandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane. Lillian Daniels Spokane Graveside service for Lillian Daniels, a former Odessa and Anatone, resident, was held Monday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Daniels, who was born in Odessa, died Thursday. She was 81. She attended Odessa schools and lived in Odessa until 1952, when she married Merrill Daniels. They later moved to Anatone.
Mrs. Daniels and her husband farmed and ranched in Anatone for many years. She retired from working as the postmaster in Anatone after 21 years. Mrs. Daniels also worked as a weather reporter and city librarian.
Her husband died in 1990 and in 1996 she moved to Spokane. Survivors include two sisters, Rose Jenkins of Spokane and Lorraine Flath of Los Angeles; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and greatnephews. Rossi, 80, will be at 10 a.m.

Mr. Rossi, who was born in Jessup, died July 13, He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps before serving as a corporal in an artillery observation battalion with the Army in the European Theater during World War II.
Mr. Rossi was wounded in battle and was awarded a Purple Heart. In 1945 he married Teresa Del Monte. Mr. Rossi lived in Danbury, where he was a journeyman electrician and a business agent for Union Locals 525 and 488 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
After his retirement in 1981 he moved to Seattle, then to Edmonds, and finally Spokane. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Aleta Markham of New Milford, and Lisa Rossi of Santa Clara, a son, Alan Rossi of Spokane; a brother, Arnold Rossi of Danbury; four sisters, Elda and Mary Scattolini, and Elsie Banfi, all of Danbury, and Edith Tomaino of Brookfield, and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Spokane. Freda Lehrman Spokane Funeral for Freda E. Lehrman, 67, was held Monday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Burial was at the Chewelah (Wash.) Memorial Park.
A 49-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Lehrman died Thursday. She was born in Conrad, Mont. She graduated from Cutbank (Mont.) High School and attended Kinman Business University. Mrs.
Lehrman held a variety of secretarial positions over the years, working for Standard Oil Co. and Washington Water Power. She also worked for Spokane School District 81 at Emerson Elementary School and Rogers High School for many years. She retired in 1991. She was a member of the Ridgeview Christian Center.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Kenneth; a daughter, Judi Osler, and a son, James Lehrman, both of Spokane; a brother, James Poynter of Billings, three sisters, Lory Harper of Anchorage, Alaska, Mary Hamar of Port Townsend, and Ruth Frenz of Portland; and two grandsons. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Foundation. Etta Cress Coeur d'Alene Service for Etta Anne Cress, 83, will be today at 11 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene. Burial will follow at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Cress, who was born in Washtucna, died Saturday. She married Ira Cress in 1934 and lived in 1 Kewa, before moving to Colville, in 1956. She moved to Harrison Flats in 1961. Mrs.
Cress was a homemaker, and worked as a nurses aid in St. Maries and Coeur d'Alene. She was a Baptist and was active in the Democratic Party. Her husband of 56 years, Ira, died in 1990. Survivors include a son, George Cress of Harrison Flats; a daughter, Mary Harrell of Coeur d'Alene; a sister, Helen Somday of Malo, a half-sister, Mabel Stotts of Curlew, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lightle, who was born in Missouri, died Friday. She moved to Spokane in 1918 and attended Trentwood Grade School and West Valley High School. In 1929 she married Burdette Lightle. Mrs.
Lightle worked for the Diamond Match Co. in Spokane for several years before moving to Reardan, in 1945. She worked for the Reardan School District, Frisk Grocery and was a caregiver for a number of years before returning to Spokane. Mrs. Lightle was a charter member of Pasadena Church of the Nazarene in Spokane.
Her husband died in 1960. Survivors include two daughters, Helen Krupke and Carol Schulz; 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Memorial service for Nora Leinweber, a former longtime resident of Endicott, will be at 11:30 a.m.

She was 93. She married Rueben Leinweber in 1923, and they lived and farmed for many years in the Endicott area. Her husband died in 1976. Mrs. Leinweber continued to live on the family farm after the death of her husband, and moved into the Whitman Health and Rehab Center in Colfax six years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Merlin and Reuben Leinweber both of Endicott; three sisters, Evan Hopkins of Longview, June Moore of Colfax, and Mary Dodge of St. John, a brother, Ray Bafus of Brewster, and four grandchildren. Sarver, who was born and raised in Colfax, died Saturday. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1929 and married DeLance Sarver that year. Mrs. Sarver lived in the Seattle area for a short time, working in the shipyards during World War II. She later moved to Spokane, then to Colville, before returning to Colfax.
In 1974 she moved to Garfield and worked for Bill's Television for a number of years. Her husband died in 1982 and she returned to Colfax in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Olsen of Spokane and Susan Kriebel of Garfield; a son, Thomas Sarver of Omak, 10 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
