Do Miitomo QR codes work on Tomodachi Life? ›

A QR Code is a code that can be scanned into Tomodachi Life, Miitomo, and Miitopia as an alternative to creating a Mii or transferring them from Mii Maker. This method allows for Miis to be imported from other islands while retaining the personality of said Mii.

To scan them, go to town hall in your Tomodachi Life game and choose the "QR Code" option. Choose "Scan QR Code" and then hold your 3DS or 2DS up to your computer monitor (or tablet or phone) so that the QR code shown lines up with the dotted outline shown on your 3DS. Here is my list, in alphabetical order.

3DS Mii QR is a standard 57x57 pixel Level 10 High ECC QR code with 'Mii' logo in center (refer to Denso-Wave Inc web site for QR Code format specifications).

An Age-o-Matic in Tomodachi Life. The Age-o-matic is a gift that the player can give to a child Mii to change them into a grown-up without changing their actual birth date.

Mii Apartments will automatically upgrade to fit more Miis once they reach a certain number of people. The final apartment can fit up to 100 Miis in total.

Mii Maker. The Mii Maker (Miiスタジオ, Mī Sutajio, lit. "Mii Studio") is the app that allows Mii creation on the Nintendo 3DS. It can store up to 100 Mii characters, much like the Wii, and includes more facial features than the latter console.

This usually happens randomly, just wait until the mii has that orange symbol with a smiley face on the window and hope said mii wants to be friends with the one you want. They can also be friends if someone introduces them to each other.

You can't assign family relationships to your non main mii in Tomodachi Collection either. It becomes weird when miis you don't want getting involved because they are related in real life or are characters you don't want together start confessing their love.
